AWS Marketplace now supports configurable net payment terms on private offers, with options including Net 30, Net 45, Net 60, or Net 90. Prior to this launch, net payment terms were uniform across all AWS Marketplace purchases, based on the buyer's payment terms with AWS. This new feature allows sellers to configure when payment is due, so invoice due dates match what buyers and sellers negotiate. This gives buyers upfront clarity on payment due dates, allows them to take advantage of more favorable payment terms, and gives sellers better cash flow predictability by setting net payment terms during private offer creation. Buyers see the configured payment terms on the procurement page before accepting a private offer. The net payment terms apply uniformly to all AWS Marketplace charges within a private offer, including upfront fees, scheduled payments, and usage-based charges. AWS Backup for Amazon S3 now supports creating S3 Access Points, providing immediate read-only access to backup data using standard S3 APIs without initiating a restore. This enables targeted file recovery, data validation, compliance auditing, and forensic investigation while your backup data remains protected in your backup vault. You can create an access point for an S3 recovery point and read backup data using standard S3 operations such as GetObject, HeadObject, and ListObjectsV2. Access points work with both snapshot and continuous (point-in-time) recovery points stored in standard backup vaults or logically air-gapped vaults, including recovery points shared across accounts through AWS Resource Access Manager or Multi-party approval. AWS Glue Data Catalog is a centralized metadata repository that helps you discover and understand data, with semantic search and support for adding business context to datasets currently in preview. Today, we are adding two new capabilities to this preview: exporting catalog metadata exports to S3 Tables for metadata querying, and expanding the semantic search preview to catalogs encrypted with AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS) customer managed keys. When you enable the Glue metadata export, your catalog's technical and business metadata, including glossary terms, custom metadata attachments, and asset descriptions, are written to tables in the managed aws-catalog S3 table bucket. This new capability avoids over-extrapolating trends by using a constant baseline instead of a linear trend, delivering more accurate alerts and reducing noise so teams can focus on genuine anomalies. Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for SQL Server now supports publishing SQL Server Audit logs to CloudWatch. SQL Server Audit is a native SQL Server feature that allows tracking and logging events that occur on the Database Engine. On Amazon RDS, you can create audits and audit specifications in the same way that you create them for on-premises SQL Server database servers. Now you can publish the audit logs to S3, CloudWatch, or both. If you enable both S3 and CloudWatch options, the audit log publication will be marked as "completed" only after the audit log files are uploaded to both S3 and CloudWatch. Once the audit logs are in CloudWatch, you can perform real-time analysis of the log data. If you enable retention, RDS keeps your audit logs on your DB instance for the configured period of time. AWS Organizations customers can now view their maximum number of accounts quota and its utilization directly through AWS Service Quotas instead of relying on AWS Support or AWS account teams to determine their current account limit. Customers can now proactively plan account growth with ease by monitoring their current account quota utilization and requesting increases before reaching their limit. They can view this quota by logging into management account and accessing the Service Quotas console or calling the Service Quotas GetServiceQuota API. Amazon GameLift Streams now offers stream URLs, which give end users temporary, unauthenticated access to a playable stream session in a supported web browser. Recipients need no AWS account, no credentials, and no software install. To share a playable stream, create a stream URL for a stream group and one of its applications, set how long the stream URL stays valid and how many sessions it can start, and send the link. Each person who opens the link starts an independent stream session, and Amazon GameLift Streams routes them to a nearby streaming location from the locations you selected. No client integration or backend service is required. You can create, monitor, and revoke stream URLs in the Amazon GameLift Streams console or with the new CreateStreamUrl, GetStreamUrl, ListStreamUrls, and RevokeStreamUrl APIs. AWS WAF now supports two new partner managed rule groups from Miggo Security, available through AWS Marketplace: Miggo Rules for AWS WAF – High Emerging Application Threats , and Miggo Rules for AWS WAF – AI/ML Application Protection . These rule groups give AWS WAF customers continuously updated protection against vulnerabilities that are being actively exploited, have public proof-of-concept code, or appear in the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog, without writing or maintaining custom rules. Amazon Elastic Container Registry (Amazon ECR) has increased the maximum image layer size limit to 200 GB, for images pushed via Docker push. Previously, packaging assets required splitting data across multiple layers or offloading to external storage systems. With this update, customers can store up to 200 GB in a single image layer, eliminating extra complexity for use cases like embedding large language models, bundling genomics datasets, or packaging large binary dependencies directly into your container images. Images pushed using the AWS SDK or CLI; (UploadLayerPartAPI) remain limited to 50 GB.
